The Marketing Report lets you build targeted customer contact lists based on when customers visited your store. Whether you need to welcome new shoppers, re-engage lapsed customers, or create a mailing list for an upcoming event, this tool gives you the filtered data and export options to make it happen.

Navigate to Admin > Customers > Marketing Report to get started.

Filtering Customers

The Marketing Report provides two ways to filter your customer list: by when they last came in, or by when they first registered. Combine either mode with a date range to narrow your results.

Filter Options

Filter

Options

Description

Visit Type

Last Visited (default)

Finds customers whose most recent visit falls within the selected date range

First Visited

Finds customers who first registered or visited within the selected date range

Date Range

Start and end date

Defines the time window for the selected visit type. Defaults to the last 30 days.

How to Run a Report

  1. Select the Visit Type from the dropdown. Choose Last Visited to find customers by their most recent activity, or First Visited to find customers by their registration date.

  2. Set the Date Range by picking a start and end date. You can also choose from the preset date ranges for common intervals.

  3. Click Search to run the query.

The grid will populate with all customers matching your criteria.

Tip: To find customers who haven't been in recently, set the Visit Type to Last Visited and pick a date range from 90 to 180 days ago. These are strong candidates for a re-engagement campaign.

Understanding the Results Grid

The report displays customer contact information in a sortable, searchable grid. Results are paginated with 25 customers per page by default.

Grid Columns

Column

Description

First

Customer's first name

Last

Customer's last name

Address

State

Zipcode

First Visit

Date the customer first visited or registered

Last Visit

Date of the customer's most recent visit

You can click any column header to sort the results by that column. Each column also supports filtering to further narrow the displayed results directly within the grid.

Use the Search box in the grid toolbar to quickly locate a specific customer within the current result set.

Exporting Data

The Marketing Report is designed to get customer data out of BuyerKiosk and into your marketing tools. The grid toolbar provides two export options:

  • Excel Export -- Downloads the full result set as an Excel spreadsheet (.xlsx). Best for mail merge, importing into email marketing platforms, or further data manipulation.

  • PDF Export -- Downloads the results as a formatted PDF document. Best for printed reference copies or sharing with team members who don't need to edit the data.

Tip: Exports include all pages of results, not just the page currently displayed. You do not need to page through the results before exporting.

Practical Marketing Use Cases

The Marketing Report is a versatile tool for a variety of outreach strategies. Here are some common ways store managers use it:

Welcome New Customers

Set the Visit Type to First Visited and the date range to the last 30 days. Export the list and send a welcome letter, a first-purchase thank-you card, or a coupon for their next visit.

Re-Engage Lapsed Customers

Set the Visit Type to Last Visited and choose a date range from 60 to 120 days ago. These customers were once active but haven't returned recently. A personalized offer or reminder can bring them back.

Event Invitations

Planning a sale, trunk show, or special event? Use Last Visited with a recent date range to build an invitation list of your most active customers. Export to Excel and use mail merge to create personalized invitations.

Direct Mail Campaigns

Export customer addresses for postcard or catalog mailings. The grid includes full mailing address fields (Address, City, State, Zipcode), making it straightforward to prepare a direct mail list.

Geographic Targeting

Sort or filter the grid by City, State, or Zipcode to focus your outreach on customers in a specific area. This is especially useful for stores that draw from multiple neighborhoods or regions.

Tip: For more advanced geographic and demographic analysis, check out the Demographics page under Admin > Customers > Demographics, which provides additional segmentation tools that complement the Marketing Report.
