Exporting Audit Data

Click Export CSV to download the filtered audit log as a CSV file. The export includes all visible columns and respects your current filters.

Use cases for export:

  • Payroll audits — Document all punch edits for a pay period

  • Compliance records — Maintain records of schedule changes for labor law compliance

  • Dispute resolution — Provide evidence of schedule changes in employee disputes

Common Use Cases

Investigating a Punch Edit

  1. Set the date range to the pay period in question

  2. Filter by Action Type: Punch Edited

  3. Search for the employee's name

  4. Review who made the change, when, and the before/after values

Tracking Schedule Publish History

  1. Filter by Action Type: Schedule Published

  2. See when each week's schedule was published and by whom

  3. Verify that schedules are being published on time

Reviewing Time-Off Approvals

  1. Filter by Action Type: Request Approved or Request Denied

  2. Review the approval pattern for fairness and consistency

Best Practices

  • Review regularly — Check the audit log weekly to stay aware of schedule changes

  • Export before payroll — Download audit data for the pay period as a backup record

  • Investigate anomalies — Unexpected punch edits or frequent overrides may indicate process issues

  • Use for training — Show new managers how actions are tracked to encourage careful decision-making
