Account Types

BuyerKiosk has two main types of accounts, each with different access levels:

1. Store Account (Default)

Every store comes with a default Store Account that's already set up for you. This account is perfect for daily operations at the workbook station.

Field

Default Value

Username

Your store's unique code (e.g., ou00, pa01)

Password

Your city name, all lowercase, no spaces

Example: If your store code is ou00 and your store is in "Los Angeles", your password would be losangeles.

What you can do with a Store Account:

  • ✅ Access the Workbook

  • ✅ Process buy transactions

  • ✅ View the queue

  • ❌ Cannot edit team members

  • ❌ Cannot view detailed reports

  • ❌ Cannot change store settings

2. Admin Account

To perform administrative tasks like editing team members, viewing detailed reports, or changing store settings, you'll need to log in with an Admin Account.

What you can do with an Admin Account:

  • ✅ Everything a Store Account can do

  • ✅ Edit team members and schedules

  • ✅ View comprehensive reports and analytics

  • ✅ Manage store settings

  • ✅ Access backstock and inventory management

  • ✅ Configure integrations

Using Both Accounts Simultaneously

Sometimes you'll need to have your store logged in to the Workbook while also performing admin tasks. Since both accounts are accessed through the same web browser, you'll need to keep them in separate sessions.

Recommended Approach: Incognito Window

The easiest way to manage this is:

  1. Main Browser Window → Keep your Store Account logged in for daily operations

  2. Incognito/Private Window → Open a new incognito window for your Admin Account

How to Open an Incognito Window:

Browser

Keyboard Shortcut

Chrome

Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + N (Mac)

Firefox

Ctrl + Shift + P (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + P (Mac)

Safari

Cmd + Shift + N

Edge

Ctrl + Shift + N (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + N (Mac)

This keeps the cookies separated between windows, allowing you to stay logged into both accounts at the same time.

Changing Your Password

If you need to change your Store Account password:

  1. Contact your store manager or administrator

  2. They can update the password through the Admin panel under Team Members

For Admin Account password changes:

  1. Log in with your Admin Account

  2. Click on your name in the top-right corner

  3. Select Account Settings

  4. Follow the prompts to change your password

Troubleshooting Login Issues

"Invalid credentials" error

  • Double-check that you're using the correct store code as your username

  • Ensure your password is all lowercase with no spaces

  • If your city name has special characters (like hyphens), try without them

Forgot your password?

  • For Store Accounts: Contact your store administrator

  • For Admin Accounts: Use the "Forgot Password" link on the login page, or contact your administrator

Can't access certain features?

  • You may be logged in with the wrong account type

  • Verify you're using an Admin Account for administrative features
